Can you answer gita’s question about Bankruptcy?:
Lets say that a company files for bankruptcy under Chapter 11 but some of its subsidiaries are excluded from the filing (example - Lear Corp). Lets say that, as a result of the bankruptcy, the equity is “wiped out” and the common stock goes to zero. My question is - who becomes an owner of the subsidiaries that were excluded from the bankruptcy?
Thank you.
